Problems in the Philosophy of History
The concept of History has become problematic, and «universal history» most of all. Can history as a source of truth survive the attack on the idea of progress? Can a Left intelligentsia survive it, specifically as formulated by Walter Benjamin? Does context relativize historical truth, or actualize it? The seminars, based on my recent work, will reflect on these questions by considering the historical truth that comes to expression in the writing of the Apocalipsis de San Juan.
